God is Love

god is love

One Night I was reading a book called “The Single Woman” by Mandy Hale. The chapter I was on was called You are loved. She was simply talking about we are loved by our family, friends , and God that we don’t need a relationship to show us what love is or physical things we can’t touch/have to show us love. Showing lovely gestures like helping someone carry something up the stairs is showing love. Oh, maybe even holding the door for someone is showing love. Then I started thinking what is God’s love really like. I know many people have their own explanation of what God’s love is but I wanted my own I wanted to feel it I wanted to see it. As I was getting ready for bed I was talking to God asking him if he could show me what his love for me is like. After washing my face and putting my contacts in there right case I finally laid down and dozed off. A little after midnight I got up to use the restroom ( i know TMI but just keep reading). I noticed I could see clearly for the people who know me I can barely see without my glasses or contacts. For that moment i can actually see I went to the mirror to check and see if my contacts were still in thinking i forgot to take them out. I did that about two times. I looked around my room and everything just look perfect no blurry vision at all. Then the conversation I was having with God came back to me. So This is how perfect your love is for me. Something that is so clear and perfect. No fuzzy or blurriness. Just simple PERFECTION.

It felt so good to understand in a way that you can feel and actually see.

So what i want y’all to know is that you are loved by God. If you want him to show you what his love for you is like. Ask him. He will show you.

I challenge you just to take a some time out of your day to talk simply talk to him. You will be blessed.

I promise..

1 John 4:7-8

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
